The trading area also includes at least northwestern Louisiana, often being referenced as the ARK-LA-TEX region. For some businesses, Texarkana is part of a four-state trading area that extends into Oklahoma as well. 

Texarkana straddles the state line between Texas and Arkansas and so is serviced by multiple governments; it is therefore often referenced without association to any particular state as Texarkana, USA.
