What is this place?

This is a portal for the conduct of business research in the geographic vicinity of the Texarkana MSA and its associated four-state trade area.

Its initial purpose is to assist business students at Texas A&M University-Texarkana in research associated with work for local business clients.  It was given its own Web domain, however, on the assumption that it could be of value to people and organizations outside of the institution.  Other organizations and associated Web sites exist to promote the region or to promote commercial interests; this web site was created to provide a breadth and depth of research tools that is beyond the direct interests of those organizations.

A forum has been installed so that users can hold discussions and make suggestions.  If you have suggestions regarding the links or resources on this web site, please post on the forum.  If you have other comments about this Web site or have a business that could benefit from student research at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, contact Dr. Owen at:

robert.owen@tamut.edu

Although this web site is not directly associated with the university, you may direct questions about the business program to Dr. Ntoko, Dean of the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Texarkana:

alfred.ntoko@tamut.edu

Further information about the business program can be found at the Texas A&M University-Texarkana College of Business homepage.
